Carly Walker (she/her), Full Spectrum Doula (BADT)

I am a queer, full-spectrum doula, educator, and intuitive caregiver. I am also a parent, an aunt, a sister, a daughter, and a partner. I love people, hugs, laughter, and tears, and I build relationships expansively, genuinely, and lastingly.

My approach to birth work is inclusive and centers on the belief that all humans deserve to feel safe, seen, heard, and empowered. As a nurturing witness, I offer a companionship built on mutual respect, compassion, and trust.  I will listen attentively and honor your reproductive journey and family-building goals. I will advocate for you and your family/support person. Together we will lift your voice and hold space for your choices.

Having been a witness and a support for my sister during the births of her three children, and in birthing my own child, I hold firmly to the belief that we all deserve love, trust, support, and community. I am dedicated to the life-long journey of growing, learning, and teaching in ways that will lift and support BIPOC, queer/trans, and historically under-supported communities.

In addition to my own experience, my awareness of the disparities and inequities in our medical system played a large role in my decision to begin my journey in social and reproductive justice.  My dedication to connection through lived experience and trauma-informed care provides a family/person-centered approach to my work (and our relationship).  My focus, always, is to provide affirming, accessible, and equitable care to my community and beyond.
